Blending Tradition and Modernity: Pu Yue Garden Sales Center

The design inspiration for Pu Yue Garden is rooted in humanity. The designers, from Bluemoon, have sought a balance between environment, architecture, space, and human interaction. The design language used presents a symbiosis of nature and culture, with the space ingeniously conceived with both antiques and modern artworks.

The unique properties of the design lie in its use of traditional elements in a modern context. The V-shaped element of ancient buildings is simplified and used in the extra high space, creating multiple levels and a dreamy quality. The wavelike background wall, deep-colored marble counter, and the use of metal blocks and old implements all contribute to an aesthetic context that presents the harmony between new and old, tradition and modernity.

The sales center covers an area of 1710 square meters and features a variety of spaces. The sand table area is open and high, with decorative lights hanging in the air, reminiscent of oriental images like vigorous calligraphy, clouds wreathing a mountain, or ribbons dancing in the air. The staircase serves as a transition and turning point of the space, where humanistic embellishments give visitors an artistic impression.

The design team, consisting of Kelly Lin, Tian Liangwei, Zhang Hao, Ding Jianqiu, Wu Jun, Tu Zizhen, Feng Ruiqi, and Li Jingsheng, faced the challenge of integrating nature and culture into the space. They used design languages to present this integration and conceived the space with both antiques and modern artworks.

The project was completed in 2020 in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China. The design of the Pu Yue Garden Sales Center is a testament to Bluemoon's commitment to design based on humanity. It is a perfect example of how art and culture can shape the spirit and style of a modern space.
